Counting Diaries
If you are looking for ratings, diaries and Meters are the ONLY thing that's important.
Arbitron and Nielson cooperation rates are at an all time low. If Arbitron can only get 1/3 of the households they approach to cooperate, why would you want to market to the other 2/3 of the households who won't respond anyway. It won't matter!
Focus your marketing dollars on households who count because of the increased probability they will be counted.
This is a giant step forward in addressing how to reach a VERY narrowly defined group of voters in an intelligent, systematic, and cost effective way. There is absolutely no waste in this marketing effort.
Station Cume and AQH are computed numbers based on the number of diaries obtained, the estimated population and weighting. If you find a one new diary, it has a multiplier impact on the station's computed cume. In addition, if the diaryholder who samples your station is a big radio user, it can work magic on AQH ratings.
